Hone Heke Lodge

Hone Heke Lodge is a super-friendly backpackers and can be found in sunny Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands. 

It is situated in peaceful, park grounds amongst native trees & birds. We are within walking distance to the famous Stone Store (oldest building in New Zealand) and Kerikeri's shops and restaurants.

Surrounded by orchards there is a stunning short drive to ocean beaches where you can surf, swim, trek, fish or just relax.  Kerikeri is a unique blend of New Zealand heritage, horticulture, arts, crafts and adventure.

At Hone Heke Lodge you'll find a choice of quality accommodation that fits your budget and your needs. We have rooms available from dormitories, double rooms (shared bathroom or en-suite) and self contained accommodation.  All rooms and facilities are fresh, spotlessly clean and comfortable.

We have many communal areas where you can meet fellow travelers - In the winter, relax in the TV lounge with the wood fire in cosy surroundings or in summer around the BBQ and courtyard dining area. Challenge others to a game of pool or table tennis or enjoy time for yourself swinging in the hammock.
